Launched in 2009, now in its 12th season, Puppet Nation ZA is a satirical programme in the form of a mock puppet television newscast, available online and on primetime pay-tv (StarOne on the StarSat bouquet).
Local and international latex puppet dopplegangers, from Donald Trump to Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Jacob Zuma, Julius Malema, Helen Zille, Barack and Michele Obama, Oscar Pistorius, Vladimir Putin, Christiano Ronaldo, Justin Bieber, Snoop Dog, Kanye and Kim West, Lady Gaga and loads more (125 and counting) of the famous and infamous from near and overseas are part of this multi-award winning hilarious and biting show.
The show has been named Best TV Comedy at the South African Film and TV Awards (SAFTAS) five years in a row, and was nominated in 2015 and 2016 for an International Emmy Award.
